Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Texas A&M Aggies vs Florida Gators

The Texas A&M Aggies will travel to Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida, to battle the Florida Gators in an all-important SEC matchup on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. And while the Gators continued to struggle on the offensive end these days, they were able to pick up a victory in their last matchup versus the Georgia Bulldogs on the road as they ended with 62 points on the night on just 39% shooting from the floor.  Nonetheless, the key stat in this contest was that  the Gators were able to connect on 10 3-pointers on the night, which ultimately tipped the scales in their favor.  In the end. KeVaughn Allen along with Noah Locke led the team in scoring with 13 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss.

The Aggies of Texas A&M have also had it rough recently as they are losers of five of their last six games, overall, as their last defeat came at the hands of the Missouri Tigers at home. In fact, it was so bad for Texas A&M in this game that they followed up just a 21-point first-half by posting just 22 points in the second half en route to the blowout loss. In all, the Aggies ended the game shooting 26% from the floor on the night while connecting on just 18% of their 3-point attempts as Josh Nebo along with Jay Jay Chandler led the team with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Texas A&M Aggies's Latest Performance :

The Texas A&M Aggies are currently going through a rough patch to where their offense is only putting up 64 points per game in their last five games, overall.  Of course, the  Aggies, during this time stand at 1 – 5 as they will certainly be looking to get out of their offensive lull versus the Florida Gators on Tuesday night. There are not many positives that one can take from the Aggies last lost to the Missouri Tigers as Missouri proceeded to essentially pummel them in every category, particularly, shooting averages from the floor as they shot 48% for the night while Texas A&M stunk it up, as stated.

Nebo and Chandler provided a bit of offense for the Aggies, however, as a team, they simply did not have it on this night as Missouri’s defense totally neutralized Texas A&M inconsistent offense. Jordan Geist was the leading scorer for Missouri in this matchup as he ended the game with 17 points while going 4-5 from three-point range in the victory.

In all, the Aggies now find themselves at or near the cellar of the SEC and will certainly like to gain a bit of confidence by picking up the victory over a struggling Florida Gators squad on Tuesday night. Fortunately for the Aggies, they are coming off of a huge win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in their last road game. Another positive for Texas A&M is that Florida has dropped three of their last five home games entering this matchup.

Florida Gators's Latest Performance :

As stated, the Florida Gators offense was simply nonexistent for yet another night. On the other hand, instead of their dismal play on the offensive end resulting in a loss, the Gators were able to pick up a win due to their ability to neutralize the offense for the Georgia Bulldogs on the road in their last outing as the Bulldogs connected on only five of 14 3-point attempts while shooting 38% from the floor of the night. Jordan Harris was the only double-digit score for the Georgia Bulldogs in this contest as he ended with 10 points while going 2-7 from the floor.  As stated Allen and Locke spearheaded the offensive attack for the Gators as Florida will certainly be looking to feed off of this momentum in which to prepare for an all-important SEC matchup on Tuesday night versus an Aggies team that has really struggled mightily, as well, lately.

Of course, the most recent win for the Florida Gators over the Georgia Bulldogs was certainly not pretty; However, after such a disastrous streak, the  Gators will certainly take the win and move forward in which to string together some wins, beginning with a victory over the Texas A&M Aggies at home. .

In all, committing a whopping 20 turnovers sealed the deal for the Bulldogs in the end. Jordan Harris, as stated, was the only double-digit scorer for Georgia in the matchup in ending with 10 points, total, while leading scorer for the season in Rayshaun Hammonds along with Nicolas Claxton, were awful as Hammonds went scoreless for the game while Claxton committed six turnovers while ending with nine points on the night.

Nonetheless, Florida picked up a huge win over Texas A&M in their last meeting and will certainly look to feed off the momentum of their last win in which to have a carry-over effect versus an Aggies squad that is struggling just as much, if not more, than the Gators.

How Texas A&M Aggies & Florida Gators Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Texas A&M is 6 – 10 ATS while the OU is  7 – 9

Florida is 9 – 8 ATS while the OU is 6 – 11

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This will be a very competitive SEC matchup vs  these squads as both will be looking to either build from the momentum of their last victory, or, to halt an extended losing streak in which to get back on the winning track. Of course, with both offenses struggling at this point in the season, look for both teams to push the pace early and often in which to somehow kickstart their dreary offenses. Nonetheless, one should also expect this game to be a possible low-scoring affair as each are allowing just 41% shooting, or less, to opponents this season.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Florida Gators

My reason for the pick :

I have little to no faith that Texas A&M’s offense will come to play in this matchup vs a Gators team that will be looking to pick up their second straight win on Tuesday night. It is for this reason that I will back Florida in this contest as they will not play pretty on the offensive end, as they have shown many times throughout the season, however, their defense will certainly come to play on a nightly basis in which to keep the team competitive. Look for this to be the case in this matchup as the defense for the home team will allow for more efficient looks at the basket for the Gators as they will get out in transition, frequently, during this contest.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

I will back the under in this matchup  due to the fact that both offenses continue to struggle on a game-by-game basis. Also, when analyzing the defense that will be taking the floor in this contest, one has to conclude that the under is indeed the strong play in this instance as the total will certainly not be surpassed.
