Memphis Tigers vs Navy Midshipmen
The Memphis Tigers will visit Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, to take on the Navy Midshipmen on 9-8-2018 beginning at 3:30 pm EST. The Midshipmen will be looking to atone for their week 1 loss to the Rainbows of Hawaii on the road by a 59-41 score to where they would not cover (-13) while the over was the play with the total being at 61 points. The Tigers would like to continue their momentum from a huge win over the Bears of Mercer by a 66-14 score in their opener as they would certainly cover the spread (-31) while there was no total set for this game. These teams have met 3 times in the last 3 years with Navy winning 2 of 3; However, the Tigers would win on 10-14-2017 by a 30-27 score at home to where the spread was a push (-3) while the under of 72.5 was not surpassed. Prior to this Navy had been 2-0 SU along with 2-0 ATS against the Tigers while the over would be the case in both wins.

How Memphis Tigers & Navy Midshipmen Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Navy is 0-1 ATS while the O/U is 0-1
Memphis is 1-0 ATS while the O/U is 0-0
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Navy will certainly need to maintain their focus after a terrible loss to a pretty good Hawaii team last week. With Memphis now coming in to do battle in Annapolis, the Midshipmen really need to not only ensure that they are mentally and physically ready to implement their offensive game plan on a defense that was impenetrable last week. On the other hand, the way in which to Tigers would perform on offense, they must also ensure that their defense is also up to the task after giving up over 500 total yards to the Rainbow Warrior in their opener. It will certainly be interesting to see how Memphis handles their early success, yet, I will also be curious to see the changes that have been made by Navy in preparation for this matchup on Saturday.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Memphis -6.5
My reason for the pick :
While I believe that Navy will play much better, from a defensive standpoint, in this game, the fact remains that they will have problems covering the numerous playmakers that Memphis possesses throughout the game. Of course, Navy will put some points on the board, however, in the end, Memphis will continue to control the trenches on offense along with put points on the board. In all, I will back the Tigers in this matchup to cover the 6.5 points since they are up against a team that has a punishing offense, yet, a defensive unit that is soft against the pass.
Totals Selection: Pick: Over 70
My reason for the prediction :
While 70 is certainly a lot of points, I will have to take the over in that while Memphis will indeed have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, the Midshipmen will indeed find some holds that they can exploit. Besides the over has been the play in 2 of the last 3 games amongst these two squads and I expect the trends to continue on Saturday.
