How New Mexico Lobos & Wisconsin Badgers Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Wisconsin is 0-1 ATS while the O/U is 0-1

New Mexico is 0-1 ATS while the O/U is 0-0

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

Wisconsin will certainly have to keep its focus in this matchup.  Keeping with the mantra that any team can be upset at any time, they will have to tame the passing attack of the Lobos in which to pick up a win in the matchup.  Of course, they have the better running game while Wisconsin also possess a much stouter defense that Incarnate Word, however, one can agree that speed and precision kills.  With that being said, the Badgers must be ale to control the line of scrimmage while ensuring that they are consistently being physical with the receivers for New Mexico simply to knock them off their routes, disrupting offensive timing.  Look for this to be an interesting matchup for about a half.  The second half will most certainly belong to the Badgers.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  Wisconsin Badgers -35

My reason for the pick :

With Wisconsin still possessing that powerful rushing game along with the Lobos giving up over 200 yards rushing to Incarnate Word in the opener, I expect Wisconsin to provide the Lobos a huge dose of its running attack on Saturday.  I also see the Badger defense settling in nicely against this New Mexico offense that could do no wrong in week 1, thus allowing the Badgers to cruise to victory while cashing in on the spread.

Totals Selection: Pick:  Over 58

My reason for the prediction :

While I happen to feel that the Lobos will score some points early as the Badger D will looking to become more familiar with their game plan, the Badgers will score at will if the D for New Mexico begins to give up huge bits of yardage on the ground.  Wisconsin will pound and pound on the ground until the Lobos will lose their will to compete, thus allowing for an over play to be made in what should really be an offensive night for the Badgers on Saturday at Camp Randall.
