The Eagles would win their second straight last Saturday as they would dismantle Holy Cross Crusaders by a 62-14 score to where they would cash in easily on the spread (-44.5) while there was no O/U total for this matchup. The last time these two teams met was on 9-9-2017 as Wake Forest would get the 34-10 road win at Chestnut Hill while also cashing in on the spread in a pickem game while the under was the play with the total being set at 46 points. Wake has cashed in on the spread in 5 of the last 7 games amongst these two squads while the under has been the play in their last 5 meetings.

How Boston College Eagles & Wake Forest Demon Deacons Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Eagles are 1-0 ATS while the O/U is 0-0
Demon Deacons are 1-0 ATS while the O/U is 0-0
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
The Deacons would destroy the Eagles at home in 2017 in a 24-point road win. For this reason, one could point to the fact that this game will certainly have a bit of payback as far as BC is concerned. Nonetheless, this has been something that Wake Forest has been used to against this Eagles squad as they have dominated the spread in the past few years. With that, the Eagles will certainly have their work cut out for them on both sides of the ball on Thursday as the defense for the home team has certainly looked solid thus far while the offense possesses some playmakers that could really change the complexity of a game. Of course, BC also boasts a dangerous offensive unit that will have to be the tip of the spear in this contest to ensure that the road team has a chance to win.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Wake Forest +5.5
My reason for the pick :
The Deacons have done well for themselves in this matchup against BC. It is for this reason that I will gladly take the home team in this game plus the points, despite the Eagles playing well entering the matchup. One could also look at the way in which the Eagles dominated Holy Cross last week, yet, they would also give up over 200 yards on the ground. This will not do with a Deacons team that would surpass the 300-yard mark on the ground in week 2. Of course, the Deacs will look to establish themselves up front for this matchup against BC once again and will be successful as they will cover the spread as home underdogs in what will be a huge win on Thursday night.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under (off)
My reason for the prediction :
The under will be a strong play in this contest as it has been in recent matchups between these two squads as the home team will look to pound the ball on an Eagles team that is struggling to stop the run at this point in the season. Furthermore, the Eagles will also have to keep a close and sharp eye on Hartman, who is proving himself to be great at picking up yards via scrambling against opposing defenses. In all, both defenses will play solidly in what will be an important ACC matchup on Thursday to where the score will reflect a low-scoring, defensive battle.
