How Rutgers Scarlett Knights & Kansas Jayhawks Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Kansas is 1-1 ATS while the O/U is 0-2

Rutgers is 1-1 AS while the O/U is 0-2

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

Rutgers will certainly want to get the taste out of their mouths from a devastating outing versus Ohio State last week while Kansas would love to add to the momentum gained in the second half in their win versus CMU.  There will also be a sense of payback in the air from the Jayhawks last loss to Rutgers in 2015 as well, so, expect this to be a very competitive game.  Kansas will look to pick up where they left off against the Chippewas by dominating the line of scrimmage while Rutgers will look to gain some type of advantage on the offensive and defensive ends as they were whipped in their last outing in these areas.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  Kansas Jayhawks -3

My reason for the pick :

I will back the Jayhawks in this matchup in that they exhibited a solid running game against Central Michigan in their last win and will look to resume their dominance against a Rutgers team that was blasted on the ground by a very good OSU attack.  Nonetheless, Rutgers’ inability to stop the run will serve the Jayhawks well in this matchup as they will utilize this area of the offense to set up their passing game as they certainly have some playmakers in Johnson and Sims on the outside that can exploit the Rutgers D.  In all, Kansas should really play well in this matchup against visiting Rutgers as they will ultimately sneak by the Scarlett Knights while also getting payback for their loss in their last meeting along with going above .500 for the season.

Totals Selection: Pick:  Under 44.5

My reason for the prediction :

I will go with the under in this matchup in that while both teams have potentially dangerous playmakers, getting the ball to those individuals remain the issue.  Kansas will rely on its running game in this contest and will likely utilize Johnson and Sims at some point early on; However, the QB play for Rutgers has not looked good at all.  Furthermore, their outing against OSU could very well damage their psyche as they prepare to go on the road, once again, to battle a team with tons of momentum from a huge win.  In all, the Jayhawks will pound the ball in this matchup as the under will remain below the set total.
