Tennessee Volunteers's Latest Performance :
Tennessee had no chance versus the Florida Gators last Saturday as they went into the half down 26-3 while also being outscored in the second half 21-18 for the loss. Jarrett Guarantano threw for 164 yards total with two interceptions while Marquez Calloway led the receiving corps with 61 yards for an offense that collected only 369 total yards while also losing four fumbles in the loss. The rushing attack, however, would get 161 yards on the ground versus the Gator defense as Ty Chandler and Madre London combined for 30 rushes for 132 yards and a TD in defeat. Tennessee allowed three touchdown passes to the Gators while being pounded on the ground for 201 total yards.
Georgia Bulldogs's Latest Performance :
Georgia would begin their scoring versus Missouri on a 64-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by Tyson Campbell while Eric Stokes would get a blocked punt return for touchdown for the Bulldogs to allow them to go up 20-7 at the half. Jake Fromm threw three touchdown passes in the second half while Rodrigo Blankenship would chip in three field goals to seal the victory for third ranked Georgia. Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Georgia is 2-2 ATS while the O/U is 2-2
Tennessee is 1-3 ATS while the O/U is 2-2
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Georgia will certainly look to utilize its punishing rushing attack versus the Vols this weekend as they are allowing 135 yards per game to their opponents in 2018. On the other hand, Fromm will get a crack at the 39th ranked pass defense in the country in hopes of continuing his solid play under center. In all, the Bulldogs are putting up 45 points per game while the Volunteers are allowing only 23 points per outing. Tennessee has not been very consistent particularly in the passing game, yet will look to exploit’s Georgia’s 31st ranked pass defense in this contest. Guarantana is probable with a knee injury for this contest while defensive back Tray Bishop is questionable with a personal matter for the Bulldogs.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Georgia Bulldogs -31.5
My reason for the pick :
I will back the Bulldogs to roll once again in this contest on Saturday as they have proven that they are tough to battle in the trenches. Of course, with the Volunteers ranked 50th in the nation in stopping the run, expect this to be a competitive matchup, yet, one where UGA will certainly prevail. Fromm has been a very good fit at QB for the Dogs and will look to continue his streak against an efficient pass defense for Tennessee. In all, look for the Bulldogs to wear Tennessee down at home with their rushing attack while picking their secondary apart as a result, while their defense will dominate an average passing and rushing attack for Tennessee on their way to covering a huge spread.
Totals Selection: Pick: Over 52
My reason for the prediction :
While UGA may let up a bit late in the second half after unleashing a running clinic on the Vols, the road team will get some scores in to make this game look more respectable. Nonetheless, the home team will not be in jeopardy of losing this matchup at all as I certainly expect the over to be the strong play at the end of the day. In all, I will back the over as Georgia will dominate on offense while their defense may also put some scores on the board as well.
