Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Kentucky Wildcats vs Texas A&M Aggies
The 17th ranked Kentucky Wildcats will travel to Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, for an SEC matchup against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday at 7 pm EST. There are no recent matchups amongst these two squads, however, both teams scored 24 points in week five in home wins as the Aggies were able to score 14 points in the opening quarter versus the Arkansas Razorbacks en route to a 24-17 home win as they were not able to cover the 20 points as favorites. On the other hand, the Wildcats scored 21 points in the second quarter of their week five matchup versus the Gamecocks of South Carolina on their way to a 24-10 win on last Saturday. They covered the spread as 1-point home favorites while the under was the play in this matchup. Kentucky is looking to remain unbeaten while staying close behind the Georgia Bulldogs in the conference while the Aggies simply look to stay competitive within a tough western division of the SEC.
Kentucky Wildcats's Latest Performance :
Benny Snell (664 yards, 8 TD’s), Asim Rose, and Terry Wilson scoring rushing touchdown of five yards or less for the 10th ranked rushing attack in the country to blow the game open at home versus the Gamecocks on Saturday as the offense obtained 197 total yards on the ground for the game for an average of 4.3 yards per carry. The passing game was not nearly as effective with 132 yards for the game along with Terry Wilson throwing an interception, however, the defense played a huge part in the win in obtaining four turnovers in the game (1 fumble, three interceptions) as South Carolina was only allowed to hold the ball for only 25:16 minutes in the game. Kentucky would, however, have 115 yards in penalties while converting only three of twelve third downs for the contest.
Texas A&M Aggies's Latest Performance :
Trayveon Williams was the star in the Aggies’ matchup versus the Razorbacks last Saturday as he racked up 152 yards and two scores as Texas A&M averaged 3.8 yards per carry versus Arkansas. Kellen Mond (1221 yards for the season), was not as effective in this matchup in throwing two interceptions, yet, ending with 202 yards for the game. Camron Buckley led the receiving corps with 72 yards on five catches as the passing game fell well below its per game average of 280 yards per game as well as below its per game point average of 36 points per game. The 3rd ranked rushing defense for A&M was solid in allowing only 55 yards to the Razorbacks who have struggled thus far as it relates in their rushing attack this season while its pass defense allowed 7.1 yards per catch while permitting Arkansas’ Ty Storey to throw for 192 yards, a TD, along with an interception.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Texas A&M is 4-1 ATS while the O/U is 3-2
Kentucky is 3-2 ATS while the O/U is 2-3
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
As stated, both teams will certainly be looking for a hard-fought victory on Saturday as the Aggies need to stay atop the Western division rankings of the SEC to keep pace with the Tigers of LSU along with Alabama, who are both at 2-0. Furthermore, falling below .500 in the division will not be an option. On the other hand, Kentucky and Georgia (along with the Gators) will seemingly lead the pack in the eastern division as Florida is on the heels of the Wildcats and playing very well lately. This game will be won in the trenches as Kentucky will look to their stellar rushing attack to gain some ground on a tough A&M defensive front ranked 3rd in the nation in stopping the ground attack of their opponents in allowing 81 yards per outing. On the other hand, A&M’s dangerous offense is ranked 13th in total yards per game and will square off versus a Wildcats team that is currently ranked 12th in total yards allowed with 289 yards per contest.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Kentucky Wildcats +6
My reason for the pick :
There are no major injuries to report for this matchup which means that both teams will have their full slate of talent on display for the matchup on Saturday. Nonetheless, I happen to believe that this will be a back and forth affair to where the defense will take center stage over two offenses that have been very solid thus far in 2018. When all is said and done, I will back the Wildcats in this matchup as they have certainly been impressive in their wins this season as their average of 32 points per game has allowed them to remain undefeated while their defense, ranked 4th in points allowed with 12 points per outing, has sealed the deal versus some decent offensive already. In all, while the Aggies will put up a fight, the Wildcats defense will stifle Mond and the Texas A&M playmakers in the end, thus pulling out a close win on the road in week six.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under (off)
My reason for the prediction :
Again, this game will be won in the trenches for the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday as their offense will look to control the line of scrimmage in which to allow their running game to flourish while their defense will look to stuff the highly ranked rushing attack for the home team while also bring the pressure to speed up Mond’s clock within the pocket. In all, the under will indeed be the strong play for this matchup as both defenses will look to reassert themselves in their first ever meeting versus their SEC opponent.
