Cincinnati Bearcats's Latest Performance :
The Cincinnati Bearcats have kept themselves in the AAC East race week in and week out and if they are able to beat the UCF Knights they might have a chance to snag a bid in the championship game. The Bearcats were able to win at home last week against a solid USF team behind a strong ground attack and a stingy defense. Redshirt freshmen QB Desmond Ridder had a solid game for the Bearcats as he was able to connect on 17 of his 24 passes for 194 yards and 2 TDs. Ridder has also shown the ability to be a dual-threat QB as he carried the ball 18 times for a total of 60 yards. Ridder has thrown for over 1897 yards, 15 TDs, and 5 interceptions while rushing for 497 yards and 5 TDs which is good for 2nd best on the team. Sophomore RB Michael Warren had a big day for Cincinnati as he was able to rack up over 151 yards and 3 TDS on 28 carries, Warren has been the workhorse all season long for the Bearcats as he has 1082 yards and 17 TDs on 206 carries. One of Ridder’s favorite targets junior WR Rashad Medaris had the best game out of any Bearcat pass catcher as he racked up 92 yards on 4 catches. Sophomore LB Jarell White led the way for the Bearcats with a team-high 10 tackles which puts him at 39 for the season. Michael Pitts and Bryan Wright were in the backfield all night long as they were able to combine for 3 sacks.
UCF Knights's Latest Performance :
The UCF Knights are a fun team to watch whether you like them or not because they have such an explosive offense that can score on the best of them and they are coming off a solid home victory over a stingy Navy team. UCF is led by junior QB McKenzie Milton and the Hawaii native was good in their win against Navy as he threw for 200 yards and 2 TDs while only having 4 passes fall incomplete. Milton is also a huge threat on the ground and he showed that as he rushed for 62 yards on 7 carries while racking up a TD. Milton is posting Heisman style numbers as he has thrown for 2309 yards. 21 TDs and 5 interceptions as well as contributed 285 yards on the ground with a team-high 8 TDs. The Knights have a handful of backs they can throw on the field and they all have shown the ability to contribute as sophomore Greg McCrae rushed for 101 yards and a TD and junior Adrian Killins rushed for 83 yards. The duo has combined for over 190 carries, 1219 yards, and 8 TDs this season but Killins is also a threat in the passing game as he has contributed 285 yards and 2 TDs. Milton was able to hook up with junior WR Dredrick Snelson 5 different times for 72 yards and 2 TDs. Redshirt sophomore DB Richie Grant had a huge day from the secondary as he was able to rack up 16 tackles to put his season total to a team-high 80 tackles. Navy only dropped back for a pass 3 times but one of them was disrupted by LB Nate Evans as he recorded his 2nd sack of the season.

My reason for the pick :
We saw the UCF Knights put on upset alert a couple of weeks ago against Temple and an 11 point win against a 2-win Navy team isn’t impressive. Cincinnati has one of the top defenses in the nation while UCF has one of the top offenses in the nation which is why I see this game being close. Cincinnati has the ground game to cause havoc on the Knights and I think Cincinnati stays motivated in this game due to how close they are to the top of the AAC East lead. Take the points with Cincinnati as UCF is put on upset alert.
