Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets's Latest Performance :
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have put together a nice season as they sit at 7-4 and they are coming off an impressive victory last weekend against the Virginia Cavaliers as they won in overtime 30-27. The Yellow Jacket offense was strong on the ground per usual as QB TaQuon Marshall led the team in rushing with 107 yards on 15 carries. Marshall was forced to put the ball in the air a little more in this outing but he was only able to complete 1 of his 8 passes for 37 yards. Marshall has been one of the best rushers on the team all season as he has compiled over 858 yards and 11 TDs. Jerry Howard was able to produce the lone rushing TD of the game as the sophomore was able to run for 43 yards and a TD on 11 carries. The Yellow Jackets lone pass was caught by their top target Brad Stewart as the senior racked up 37 yards on that catch. The Yellow Jackets received a spark on special teams as Juanyeh Thomas returned a kick 77 yards for a TD. Kicker Wesley Walls was a huge part of the Yellow Jackets success in this game as he was able to go a perfect 4 for 4 with a long of 48 yards. The defense for the Yellow Jackets was able to make big stops when it mattered but they are still a work in progress. Jalen Johnson led the way for the Georiga Tech defense as he was able to rack up 9 tackles and 1 sack which has redshirt senior 50 tackles on the season.
Georgia Bulldogs 's Latest Performance :
The Georgia Bulldogs come into this game after rolling over the UMASS Minutemen at home last weekend as they needed a nice tune-up game heading into rivalry weekend and the SEC Championship. Starting QB Jake Fromm didn’t have too busy of a day for the Bulldogs as he went a perfect 5 for 5 with 106 yards and a TD which prompted his early benching. Fromm has put together a nice season in his sophomore campaign as he has compiled 2061 yards, 20 TDs, and only 5 interceptions. Backup QB freshmen Justin Fields came into the game and showed why he was the former #1 QB in the nation as he threw for 121 yards and 2 TDs while adding 100 yards and a TD on the ground. Freshmen RB James Cook had a coming out party against UMASS as he took 3 carries for 76 yards and 2 TDs which were the first two of his career. Star RB Elijah Holyfield didn’t have to do too much in this outing as he racked up 6 carries for 50 yards and a TD which gives the junior 817 yards and 6 TDs on the season. Junior WR Tyler Simmons had a big game for the Bulldogs as he had 2 catches for 81 yards and a TD while also carrying the ball 1 time for 49 yards and a TD. One of Fromms top WRs in Riley Ridley was kept silent most the game as he only had 1 catch for 11 yards and a TD. The defense for the Bulldogs has been good all season and although they blew UMASS out of the water 27 points is too many points against lower competition. Sophomore DB Richard LeCoounte contributed a team-high 4 tackles while Tae Crowder came down with the lone interception of the game for the Bulldogs.

Against The Spread Selection: Georiga Tech Yellow Jackets +17
My reason for the pick :
Georgia will come into this game looking forward to the SEC Championship as they want another shot at big bad Alabama but Georgia Tech is coming into Athens with an upset on their mind. The Georgia Tech offense has the ability to run clock with their triple option scheme which will keep the high powered Georgia offense off the field and if the Yellow Jackets can chip away with field goals they will stay in the game. The Yellow Jackets don’t showcase much on the defensive side of the ball but the pass rush has been decent this season and if they can get a few negative plays on the Georgia offense they could be in good shape. Take Georgia Tech on the road to cover the thick spread.
