LSU Tigers vs Texas A&M Aggies
The Texas A&M Aggies return to Kyle Field for the regular season finale as they will welcome in the LSU Tigers in an SEC Clash, the opening kickoff is set for 7:30 PM. The Aggies look like an improved coach under Jimbo Fisher and they will play in the postseason while LSU is still fighting for a New Years Six Bowl bid.
LSU Tigers's Latest Performance :
The LSU Tigers needed a tune-up game heading into the postseason as they had to play Alabama Mississippi State, and Georgia in consecutive weeks and they got what they wished for as they were able to roll over the Rice Owls at home 42-10. The Tigers were led by former Ohio State QB Joe Burrow as the junior threw for 307 yards and 2 TDs which is one of his best performances of his collegiate career. Burrow has been a difference maker for the Tigers this year as he has thrown for 2230 yards, 9 TDs, and 4 interceptions but more importantly, he is a natural leader. The RBs for the Tigers have been good all year long and they continued their season of excellence by running through the Owls defense. Top RB Nick Brossette carried the ball 14 times for 69 yards and 2 TDs while former LSU great Leonard Fournette’s little brother Lanard ran for 45 yards and a TD, the first of his career. Brossette looks like his name can be added to the list of NFL RBs as the senior has rushed for 861 yards and 13 TDs this season. With the LSU ground and pound offense it is often hard for us to see WRs have big games but with Burrow at QB we have seen an improvement this year. Justin Jefferson is the top Tiger WR as he has racked up 725 yards and 3 TDs on the season, he caught 3 passes for 56 yards against Rice. The defense was able to wreak havoc on the Owls in this game especially LB Devin White as he racked up 9 tackles and a sack which gives him a team-high 98 tackles on the season.
Texas A&M Aggies's Latest Performance :
Texas A&M made the move to lure in Jimbo Fisher from Florida State and although they aren’t a top team in the SEC West they still look like a team who can compete for years to come. The Aggies are coming off an impressive win at home against a solid UAB squad as they were able to outscore the Blazers 41-20. QB Kellen Mond was very efficient for the Aggies as he was able to throw for 192 yards and 2 TDs but showed the ability to pick up yards on the ground as he rushed for 38 yards. Mond has been solid all season long for Jimbo Fisher and company as he has thrown for 2680 yards, 17 TDs, and only 8 interceptions while being the 2nd leading rusher with 345 yards and 5 TDs. Junior RB Trayveon Williams had a great game as he was able to rush for 167 yards and 2 TDs on 20 carries which gives him 1326 yards and 11 TDs through 11 games. One of the top targets for Mond this season has been JUCO transfer Jace Sternberger and he showed that against UAB as he racked up 81 yards and 2 TDs on 4 catches. Sternberger is another one of the successful TEs in the Jimbo Fisher offense as he has racked up 729 yards and 8 TDs this season which are both team highs. The Texas A&M defense has shown the ability to fly around all year and they have gotten better every week. Junior LB Tyrel Dodson had a solid game for the Aggies as he racked up 9 tackles while Donovan Wilson and DeShawn Capers-Smith both came down with an interception.

Against The Spread Selection: Texas A&M Aggies -3
My reason for the pick :
The Texas A&M Aggies have looked really good in year 1 of Jimbo Fisher especially at home as they are a perfect 6-0 ATS and I think that streak continues against rival LSU. The Texas A&M ground attack has been the reason they have been so successful this season and when that is shutdown Mond has found a reliable target in Sternberger who is a nightmare mismatch for most LBs. The Aggies defense will put more guys in the box and stop the run which will leave the game in Burrow’s hands which I just can’t see him carrying the team on the road. Take the Aggies to stay perfect ATS at home.
