Chicago Bears vs Cincinnati Bengals
It’s that time of year again and the Cincinnati Bengals are ready to kick off their pre-season opener against the Chicago Bears atPaul Brown Stadium on Thursday night. The Bears dropped their pre-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens last Thursday by a point. They played a pair of QB’s – Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray while Mitch Trubisky watched from the sidelines. Look for the Bengals to give their back-ups some playing time as well along with a host of other positions. It’s assessment time for coaching staffs so they can narrow the roster by the start of the regular season.
Chicago Bears's Latest Performance :
The Chicago Bears missed the playoffs again last season and suffered their fourth consecutive losing season going 5-11 which was a step up from the previous seasons dismal 3-13. Now that John Fox (replaced by Matt Nagy) is gone and Jay Cutler two years removed from the team, the only way they can go is up. With QB Mitch Trubisky at the helm, maybe the Bears can make a run at the playoffs.
Cincinnati Bengals's Latest Performance :
The Cincinnati Bengals made several changes in the offseason in hopes of improving their squad and making the playoffs for the first time in a couple of years. They did manage to end the 2017 season on a high note by knocking off two playoffs teams before packing up for the long winter. The most notable change was the loss of backup QB AJ McCarron who was picked up by the Buffalo Bills. The two teams also swapped a handful of players to help bolster their lineups.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Neither team made the playoffs last season and with a number of changes in personnel, this could be an interesting match-up for a preseason game. They both have a lot to prove this season and need to do some much-needed player evaluation before cutting down their roster for the regular season. No one expects much in the preseason, but there are several teams looking to improve and make a run at the playoffs. Both of these teams are looking to do just that.
