Houston Texans vs Kansas City Chiefs
The Houston Texans head to the Show Me State to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL’s loudest stadium on Thursday night. The Texans are coming off a disappointing season plagued with injuries. Losing two superstars in quarterback Deshaun Watson and defensive end JJ Watt was just something they couldn’t recover from and ended the season with a 4-12 record. The Chiefs, on the other hand, were the AFC West champions losing a wild-card game to the Titans. They still have a lot to prove and with one of the NFL’s most potent offenses, The Texans will have their hands full.
Houston Texans's Latest Performance :
The Texans are in sort of a rebuilding phase. Coach Bill O’Brien had his team ready for the 2017 season. Then, it all came crashing down. Healthy, the Texans defense should be one of the NFL’s best with Jadeveon Clowney and JJ Watt pressuring quarterbacks. They too possess a young talented quarterback with a lot to prove. He’s dangerous on his feet and in the air. Opposing defenses like the Kansas City Chiefs will quickly learn just how dangerous he really is.
Kansas City Chiefs's Latest Performance :
The Andy Reid led Chiefs return this season with a new quarterback under center in Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs ownership is very excited about Mahomes. He has big shoes to fill after four solid years from Alex Smith who was sent packing to the Washington Redskins. Mahomes is young, talented, and possesses a ton of weapons. He has had some interception issues in training camp. He’s still learning the offense and Andy Reid has expressed on several occasions that those kinds of mistakes don’t bother him. When it counts, we’ll see how much it bothers him.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
The Texans vs. Chiefs should be a solid preseason matchup. They both have a lot of roster positions to fill, so there should be quite a few substitutions at all positions. The two teams clashed back in October with the Chiefs coming out victorious after a combined 76 points were scored. Deshaun Watson threw five touchdown passes, but Alex Smith was very efficient and Tyreek Hill’s fourth-quarter punt return for a touchdown put the game out of reach moving the Chiefs to 5-0 on the season. Expect much of the same in this game minus the minutes from the regular season starters.
