Pittsburgh Steelers vs Philadelphia Eagles
The NFL’s 2017 Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are back and ready to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in their pre-season opener at Lincoln Field on Thursday night. Both teams went 13-3 last season and won their respective divisions. The Jacksonville Jaguars took out the Steelers in the playoffs while the Eagles Knocked off the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LII.
This is a match-up of the NFL’s elite and should be an exciting game even though it’s only preseason.
Pittsburgh Steelers's Latest Performance :
The Pittsburgh Steelers had a solid season last year and should have gone all the way, but ran into a tough Jacksonville Jaguar team that ended their season. They sent ten players to the pro bowl and awarded the unstoppable Antonio Brown with the team MVP. In other words, the Steelers are good and should dominate and win the AFC North. They still have to go through the mighty New England Patriots, but stranger things have happened.
Philadelphia Eagles's Latest Performance :
The Eagles come into the 2018 season riding high. Their head coach Doug Pederson’s contract has been extended through 2022 along with GM Howie Roseman and the majority of players are returning. QB Nick Foles stepped foot onto the field for the first time this season on Sunday since the pummeling the Eagles gave the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs last season en route to the Super Bowl.
The Eagles will be the team to beat again this season as many are picking them to repeat. Only time will tell.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
These two teams match-up well even though it’s just a preseason game. They are both loaded with talent and are primed and ready to make a run at the championship. Rothlisberger and Foles are two of the NFL’s best and are capable of winning a lot of games. Granted they won’t play much if at all in the first preseason game of the year but rest assured, Mike Tomlin and Doug Pederson will have their respective teams ready the play no matter what.
