Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Atlanta Falcons vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Atlanta Falcons will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 3 NFL action that will take place at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday night beginning at 7 pm EST. The Falcons had to endure a 28-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in their last time out on 8-17-2018 to where they would miss out on the spread (+2) while the under was the play with the total being set at 43.5 for the game. The Jaguars would pick up the 14-10-win against the Minnesota Vikings on the road on 8-18-2018 as the Jags would cash out on the spread (-4) while the under was the play with the total being set at 40.5 for the game. While the Atlanta offense has not bee able to move the ball effectively thus far in averaging 271 total yards per game (26th) while scoring 7 ppg (32nd), the Jaguars D is ranked 4th in the league in yards allowed (300) while they permit 21 ppg (21st). Atlanta needs a win badly, however, they will find it very difficult against a stingy and aggressive defense such as the Jaguars.

How Atlanta Falcons & Jacksonville Jaguars Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Both these teams will be looking for a win after either picking up a momentum inducing win, as was the case with the Jags, or, suffering a bad loss, as was with the Atlanta Falcons in week 2. Needless to say, both teams will be looking to get back onto the field in which to gain even more confidence while shoring up vulnerabilities that may become a detriment as it relates to solidifying them as a true contender in the upcoming season. In all, Atlanta will be looking to be sound, yet, aggressive against this Jaguars team that is very tough in the trenches. Of course, the Falcons have not played well at all on defense, however, the preseason is for working out various kinks that could possibly plague a team in the future. This will be a true test for the Falcons as well as for the up and coming Jags.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars -3
My reason for the pick :
With Atlanta seemingly attempting to get through the post-season without committing their starters to any kind of extensive minutes, I will back the Jags in this matchup. To be honest, the Jaguars’ defense has been solid this year. They continue to limit the damage that offenses inflict, and, since they are much more aggressive than in recent years, one would expect much from this Jax squad that has not had many opportunities to win in recent pasts. Nonetheless, I expect the Jags to come out and set the tone early in this matchup en route to another preseason win.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under 40
My reason for the prediction :
With the way in which to Jags D is playing along with the inconsistency with which Atlanta is playing at this moment on both sides of the ball, I would certainly have to play the under in this matchup. Again, both teams are averaging less than 20 points thus far in the preseason, and I expect this to continue in this instance as the home team will certainly get a workout against an inconsistent Atlanta offense that is not at full strength at the time.
