The Browns would like to end their preseason at a record of 3-1 while the Lions are seeking to end the preseason at .500 to begin the regular season. The Browns also hope to wrap up their preseason campaign by providing their fans with one last warmup game in which to prepare for what is to come. This will certainly be an exciting game between two teams certainly looking to get better on a weekly basis, particularly, as they continue to incorporate new and inexperienced talent onto both sides of the ball. How Cleveland Browns & Detroit Lions Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This will be a defensive minded matchup as the Browns look to end the preseason on a high note while the Eales will look to improve on offense while allowing its defense to become the tip of the spear until the offense begins to click. In all, expect both teams to be focused in this matchup as there are certainly benefits along with finishing the preseason playing well. Nonetheless, both teams will also look to stay healthy, which means starters will probably not play much in this matchup.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Cleveland Browns +1
My reason for the pick :
I will back the Browns to go on the road and win in this game as they are not only getting great play collectively, from their defense, but, their offense is attempting to gain some consistency in their running game lately. Of course, the Eagles cannot seem to get it going on offense, and by matching up with an active defense in the Browns, may not serve them well in the end. It is for this reason that I will take the Browns to keep this game close while winning outright.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under 36.5
My reason for the prediction :
Again, the Eagles along with the browns D will continue to shine in week 4 as they will both look to neutralize offenses that continues to get better while the other continues to sputter with each preseason game that passes. In all, I will back the under of 36.5 in this contest in that I simply do not have much confidence in both offense against these defenses. Besides, the starters will not play long in this game, thus leaving the role players to get some hefty time on the field.
