In-Depth Analysis of each team:

I must say that I am impressed with both these teams as they look to wrap up their preseason on Thursday with a win.  Much can be said about how both defenses have seemingly improved since last season and while the Jags have sputtered on offense at time lately, they are continuing to find ways to score with the running game becoming a huge catalyst for their overall success.  The Bucs, on the other hand, continues to get things done on offense as they are continuing to utilize their many weapons to loosen up defenses.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Tampa Bay Bucs

My reason for the pick :

While I feel as if both teams will come out focused on getting a win to end the preseason while ensuring that they continue to stay relatively healthy, I will side with the Bucs in this matchup in that they have a defense that has improved, despite their terrible outing in their last matchup.  Their offense, as stated, has been playing very upbeat and with lots of quickness and accuracy.  And while the Jags D will be up for the task against such a speedy offense, they will find ways to create holds that will lead to scoring opportunities on Thursday on their way to winning close.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

Again, while the Bucs’ offense has had some great moments thus far, I am sure that they will also rest their starters after minimal minutes in this game.  In all, look for the defenses to once against take front and center as they will look to get some much-needed play in which to shore up vulnerabilities before the regular season begins.   In all, the under will be the strongest play in this matchup.
