In-Depth Analysis of each team:

While both teams have struggled throughout the preseason, as stated, they will both be looking to end on a positive note before they head into a grueling regular season.  It will be interesting to see exactly how many snaps Ryan and the rest of the starters for the Falcons will get in this game.  Also, it would be worth seeing how long the Dolphins will play their starters as well with the actual goal being to get through this game without any major injuries.  In all, one could expect anything from two teams looking to not end the preseason winless.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Atlanta -2.5

My reason for the pick :

This game could go either way, nonetheless, I will put my money on the Falcons to cover this small spread at home over the Dolphins on Thursday night.  They should be able to put together some winning drives that will provide them a small cushion in which to cruise for the remainder of the game.  The Dolphins will not score much on offense as they have been anemic thus far.  In all, I will take the Falcons and hope they do not let me down.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under 36.5

My reason for the prediction :

I will ride the under in this contest in that both teams have not had a very productive preseason, from mainly an offensive standpoint.  Atlanta does indeed have weapons for days; however, it is unknown as to how long and how often they will utilize these individuals.  Also, the Dolphins also have some weapons, yet, they may also choose to rest their starters as well, thus leaving inexperienced talent on the field for much of the game.  In all, I will back the under due to the unknown of how long starters will play.
