How New England Patriots & New York Giants Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This will be yet another great final preseason matchup amongst these two teams as each would like to pick up yet another victory in which to enter the regular season.  The giants have improved on a weekly basis as they have won 2 straight since their week 1 loss, yet, the Patriots had won 2 straight before walking into a buzz saw in the Panthers that afforded them their first loss of the preseason in their last outing.  Nonetheless, each will be looking to bring the focus and intensity as it will be imperative to have a great showing in this battle.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: New York Giants -3

My reason for the pick :

Knowing the Patriots, they certainly may decide to only play their starters minimal minutes in this matchup.  Furthermore, they were roughed up well against the Panthers in their last outing, which means that they will most likely look to get some effective drives going, then pulling its offensive starters for the night.  This, in my opinion, will provide the Giants the ability to cover in this game.  It is for this reason that I will back the Giants in this preseason finale on Thursday night.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under 38.5

My reason for the prediction :

The Patriots defense will certainly need the work against the Giants as they may log in much more minutes than the offense while the Giants D will also need some time on the field as they will indeed to shore up vulnerabilities in the trenches as well as improve in their defensive secondary.  With the offense being limited, expect the under to be the play in this game as both teams will defer to their role players for the win to ensure their starters remain healthy and sharp for week 1.
