In-Depth Analysis of each team:

With the regular season for 2018 about to roll around, there is a strong possibility to where one could conclude that, after analyzing the preseason for both teams, that the dominance of Green Bay will continue over their division opponent Chicago Bears in Sunday night’s matchup.  Rodgers will be looking to regain his touch with his receivers while the Bears will likely call upon Mitch Trubisky to lead their offense against a Green Bay defense that started out very well to begin the preseason, yet, began to allow opponents to put up major points in their final two games of the preseason.  In all, look for this to be an exciting game as it will likely entail both teams putting scores on the board often.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  Green Bay Packers -8

My reason for the pick :

I will pick the home team to cover in this matchup as the Packers have had the Bears number in recent outings.  In addition to this, the Packers will have a full compliment of players for this matchup which will certainly cause headaches for a Bears team that has had problems keep their defense off the field.  In all, expect more of the same for the Bears while Green Bay will cash in big during week 1.

Totals Selection: Pick: Over 47.5

My reason for the prediction :

I will have to pick the over in this contest in that the Bears, as stated, have not been able to stop anyone during the preseason.  I happen to believe that it will get much worse in this matchup as Rodgers and company will certainly be at the helm at Lambeau looking to have a successful showing in week 1.  Of course, the Bears will come to play as well, however, it would only be a matter of time before the Pack begins to click on both sides of the ball in this matchup, as they have done many times against their division foe in the past.
