How Kansas City Chiefs & Los Angeles Chargers Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

In another AFC West showdown, the Chiefs and Chargers will get together with the winner gaining a bit of the inside tract as it relates to not only bragging rights, but, as to division positioning early.  The Chargers will have their full compliment of players on display for this game while the Chiefs will usher in the Pat Mahomes era as he will look to continue the type of play illustrated in the preseason against a rebuilding San Deigo defense.  As always, look for this contest to be one that will be back and forth, offensively, as neither defense has seemed to find its footing as of yet.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  Kansas City Chiefs +3

My reason for the pick :

The chiefs have had the upper hand in this matchup in recent outings and I expect this to be the case on the road in week 1 on Sunday afternoon.  The Chargers will have Rivers in the lineup for this matchup as he will certainly try to pick apart the defense for the Chiefs.  On the other hand, the Chargers will be tried as well as the Chiefs lit up a pretty good Green Bay team in their last preseason outing.  In all, I expect the Chiefs to keep this game close while possibly getting the outright win in this matchup.

Totals Selection: Pick:  Over 47.5

My reason for the prediction :

I will pick the over in this contest despite the under being the case in the last 2 games against these two squads.  The fact is that the Chiefs and Chargers have both given up some points in the preseason, and until their defense begins to play more consistently, I would expect them to struggle for the time being.  Of course, both offenses should really put up some scores throughout the game with Rivers in the Chargers lineup as the total will certainly surpass the set total of 47.5 on Sunday.
