How Washington Redskins & Arizona Cardinals Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
The Cardinals will certainly be looking to get out of the gate quick on a Washington team that will be looking to pull the upset on the road in week 1. This will be an interesting matchup as Sam Bradford will be named starter while the QB for Washington is unknown at the moment. Nonetheless, they certainly have some serviceable options to consider. In any event, the Cardinals will be hyped to turn the page on 2017 at home in their first outing of 2018 in hopes of playing well, thus allowing the momentum to carry over to the next challenge.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Arizona Cardinals Pk
My reason for the pick :
I will back the Cardinals in this matchup in that they have a much better core in which to build from as opposed to the Skins. Of course, being at home would also be a great thing for Arizona as they would really appreciate a win to start the season after a lackluster 2017 season. Of course, they would play well in the preseason despite not playing at full capacity as it pertains to their starters; However, I expect this to be a totally different matchup as the Cardinals will find a way in which to squeak out a close win in week 1.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under 44
My reason for the prediction :
While the Cardinals averaged 20 ppg in the preseason, they continue to have lots of gelling to do as the season wears on in order to be the team that they need to be. The Redskins, on the other hand, only averaged 17 ppg during the preseason while in their last 2 preseason games, allowed their opponents to put up 30 ppg. I expect this to be a closer contest as both defenses will be working at full capacity with their starters which would really serve to neutralize 2 middle of the road offenses that are continuing to get better, yet, are simply not playing very effective at the moment. In all, I will back the under in this contest as I do not see the total surpassing 44 points in this contest.
