Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Baltimore Ravens vs Tennessee Titans
The Baltimore Ravens will travel to Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, to battle the Tennessee Titans in week six NFL action on Sunday beginning at 4:25 pm EST. The Ravens are coming off a heartbreaking 12-9 road loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday as they were unable to cover the spread as three point favorites while the Titans also suffered a close 13-12 loss to the Buffalo Bulls where they could only muster 221 yards of total offense in defeat. The last time these teams met was on November 5, 2017 as the Titans picked up the 23-20 home win as the spread was a push in favor of the home times while the over was the play with the total being set at 41 points for the game. The Ravens are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Nashville while they are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings versus the Titans overall. Finally, the under is 7-3-1 in the last eleven games versus these two squads.
Baltimore Ravens's Latest Performance :
Baltimore, while coming into their game with the Browns winning two straight games while averaging 26 points during this time, only put up nine points in their road loss to Cleveland in week five as Justin Tucker kept them in the game with three field goals awhile the Ravens defense held the home team to one of three red zone conversions while collecting an interception off Baker Mayfield while obtaining five sacks in the meantime. Nonetheless, the 4th and 5th ranked pass and rush defense in the league gave up 112 yards on the ground along with 304 yards passing for the contest as Mayfield threw for 342 yards, a TD, along with a pick while Carolos Hyde led the rushing attack with 63 yards on 17 carries. The Ravens also allowed the Browns two sacks while they rushed for 116 yards led by Alex Collins with 59 yards on 12 rushes while Michael Crabtree led the receiving corps with six catches for 66 yards in the loss with Joe Flacco passing for 298 yards and a pick. Finally, the Ravens went 0 for three within the red zone for the game.
Tennessee Titans's Latest Performance :
Tennessee’s offense was stagnant as they could only muster four field goals versus a stingy Buffalo defense in last Sunday’s 13-12 loss on the road. With allowing two sacks while also fumbling the ball twice in addition to an interception by Marcus Mariota, the Titans were only able to rack up 221 yards for the game with the quarterback finishing with 129 yards on the day. The rushing game was paced by Derrick Henry would finished with 56 yards on eleven carries while Corey Davis led the dismal passing attack of the Titans with only 49 yards on four catches in the loss. Of course, the Bills did not do much better in terms of overall yardage for the game, however, would rush for 144 yards in the contest with LeShon McCoy having 85 yards on 24 attempts. Josh Allen only threw for 82 yards and a pick in the game while the Titans allowed them to covert only one of three times within the red zone. In all, this was a sleeper as two lackluster offenses lined up against one another with predictable results. To make matters worse for the titans, Tyler Lewan is questionable for Sunday’s game with a foot injury.
How Baltimore Ravens & Tennessee Titans Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Baltimore is 3-2 ATS while the OU is 2-3
Tennessee is 3-2 ATS while the OU is 2-3
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
As if they were not struggling enough on offense, the Titans will indeed struggle for yet another week as the Ravens will certainly be hotter than a wet hen after their disaster versus the Browns last Sunday. As stated, they may also be without their starting tackle in Lewan which will add more incentive for the Ravens to blitz Mariota for most of the game. In all, this will not only be a sign as to who the Ravens are as a team at this point in the year while also better defining the Titans as well as they came into the Buffalo game winning two straight also.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Baltimore Ravens -3
My reason for the pick :
I will give the nod to the Ravens in this matchup as they are the more consistent teams with the more ferocious defense. In other words, without key figures within their offensive lineup, I expect the Ravens to blitz and blitz in this matchup, thus getting to Mariota and making him make mistakes. Of course, they will get the Titans offense off the field to where their offense can work their way back to form when they were averaging over 27 points per game prior to their disaster at Cleveland.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under 41
My reason for the prediction :
While I see both teams putting some scores on the board, those scores will not be able to surpass the total for his matchup at 42. The over has been the play in three of the last five games for both teams while it has been the result of the last three for the Titans. In all, with the types of talent to which both defenses possess, expect this to be a grinding game to where the team that wins within the trenches, wins the game.
