The Chiefs picked up the 45-10 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals in their last time out as Pat Mahomes threw for four touchdowns on the day as the Chiefs atoned for their loss to the Patriots the week prior. Denver Broncos's Latest Performance :
Denver’s offense did not have to do much in their win versus the Cardinals as their defense ran back two interceptions while collecting five turnovers overall in addition to collecting six sacks on the night as they won their first game in four outings. Case Keenum threw for 170 yards, a TD along with an interception in the win while Philip Lindsey ran for 90 yards and a score on 14 rushes. This was the first road win for Denver in 2018 as they came into the game begin outscored on the road by a combined score of 61-30 as they offense was only putting up 15 points during those game while the defense allowed 31 points.
Kansas City Chiefs's Latest Performance :
The Chiefs continued their dominant ways versus a very good Bengals team in their last outing as they picked up a 45-10 dominating win last Sunday. Mahomes threw for 358 yards, 4 TD’s, along with an interception in the win while the rushing attack was led by Kareem Hunt having 86 yards and a score while Travis Kelce had five catches for 95 yards total in the contest as the offense racked up over 500 yards on the Bengals defense. How Denver Broncos & Kansas City Chiefs Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Denver is 2-4-1 ATS while the OU is 3-4
Kansas City is 7-0 ATS while the OU is 4-3
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This game will certainly be interesting in that the Chiefs are continuing their dominant play while the Broncos hope that their last win can propel them to playing much better on both sides of the ball. With that being said, look for the Chiefs to mix it up on the offensive end yet relying much more on their 10th ranked rushing attack that will be matchup up versus Denver’s 31st ranked rush defense that has been manhandled all year long. Also, Mahomes has performed well all season as well and will look to test the Broncos 10th ranked pass defense. The Broncos, however, possess a solid rushing attack as well and will look to utilize Lindsey on the ground versus a 23rd ranked rush defensive unit for the Chiefs that can indeed be pushed around at times, yet, not often.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Kansas City Chiefs -10
My reason for the pick :
I will back the Chiefs in this matchup as I happen to believe that the Broncos, despite their last win, will struggle this season with Keenum at QB along with a defense that is very inconsistent both in defending the pass along with the run. With that being said, expect Mahomes and company to have a great night versus Denver’s defense as they have won each home game this season by ten points or more. In all, the Chiefs will outclass the Broncos in this contest as they are simply the much better team.
Totals Selection: Pick: Over 53.5
My reason for the prediction :
The over has been the play in two of the last three games for Denver while being the result in four of seven games for the Chiefs this year. Also, due to the overall potency of the offense for Kansas City along with the inconsistency with which to Broncos have shown on both sides, I will have to back the over as the Chiefs are averaging a tad over 38 points per game at home this season, with the last home game seeing the team score 45 points.
