Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets

The reeling Buffalo Bills will seek to get a win as they travel to MetLife Stadium in New York City to battle AFC East division foe New York Jets on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm EST.  The Bills continue to lose on the season as their last defeat came at the hands of the Chicago Bears by a 41-9 score to where the offense was outscored 28-0 in the first half while having just 264 total yards in the contest.  The Jets were also on the receiving end of a low scoring road affair with the Miami Dolphins last Sunday as they suffered the 13-6 loss, their third straight defeat.  Sam Darnold threw a pick six along with three additional interceptions in the game while passing for only 229 yards and no TD’s for the Jets.  The last time these teams met, the Jets, however, picked up the 34-21 home win as they also covered as three-point underdogs during this time.  The underdog, in fact, is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings amongst these teams while the over is 6-2 in the last eight games at MetLife Stadium.

Buffalo Bills's Latest Performance :

The Bills are simply horrible.  They continue to play musical chairs at the QB position as Nate Peterman is back in the starting rotation.  However, his play did not result in much o a difference as he threw for 189 yards along with three interceptions in the loss yet rushed for a touchdown while leading the team in rushing with 46 yards.  Kelvin Benjamin had four catches for 40 yards for a passing attack that is ranked dead last in the league in yards per game with 151 per.  The Bills have scored in single digits in three straight games and have not won since October 7th in a 13-12 home victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Their defense is ranked in the top 11 in categories such as rush yards allowed (102), pass yards allowed (215 yards), along with total yards per game (314).  They continue to allow teams to score 26.8 points per game despite these stellar numbers which can attribute to the offense putting them in bad spots after their bevy of turnovers committed during the year.

New York Jets 's Latest Performance :

Sam Darnold has always had his issues with interceptions this year as he has 14 on the season alongside 11 touchdown passes. The fact is that he has only 2 TD passes next to seven interceptions in the last thee games.  Also, Darnold has had a completion percentage 50% or less in two of those games, overall.  As a result of his struggles, the Jets are now averaging 11 points in their last three outings.  In their last outing versus the Bears, the offense only put up 273 total yards for the game with Darnold throwing four interceptions along with a pick six for 229 yards.  The rushing attack was nonexistent in getting 73 yards as Isiah Crowell had 49 yards on 13 carries while the Jets also allowed Darnold to be sacked four times total.

The defense continues to remain strong despite not getting much help from their offensive counterparts in averaging 23.7 points per game this year.  They allowed only 164 yards to the Dolphins while rushing attack had only 64 yards while Brock Osweiler passed for 139 yards for the game.

How Buffalo Bills & New York Jets Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Buffalo is 3-6 ATS while the OU is 3-6

New York is 3-6 ATS while the OU is 5-4

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This game will certainly make one team happy, if only temporary.  In other words, one struggling team will certainly come out with a win in this matchup and with the way both offenses are performing, it can be difficult to choose which to rely on.  One thing for certain is that I trust a struggling Darnold as opposed to Peterman.  Also, with two strong defenses taking the field, look for this to be a competitive and interesting matchup throughout as both teams will fight hard for a much-needed victory.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  NY Jets -8

My reason for the pick :

I will back the Jets in this matchup as the offense for the home team will likely get back on track versus a horrible team in the Bills.  Expect them to get their rushing attack going in which to set up their passing game as Darnold has struggled lately.  With that being the case, look for the Jets to give him much easier throws this weekend in which to build his confidence.  In all, look for the Bills, who are 2-4 ATS in their last six outings, to fold once again to a struggling yet optimistic offense for the Jets on Sunday.

Totals Selection: Pick:  Under 36.5

My reason for the prediction :

While 36.5 points are very low, one must consider the way in which both offenses have struggled.  Also, one must consider the defenses that will be up against both offensive units in which to determine that the under is indeed the logical play in this matchup.  In all, both teams will struggle once again, however, the Jets will certainly play well on defense in assisting the offense in a low scoring win in which they will cover.

  • Under is 4-0 in Bills last 4 vs. AFC.

  • Under is 4-0 in Bills last 4 road games.

Betting trends for New York Jets :

  • Under is 5-0 in Jets last 5 games in Week 10.

  • Under is 6-1 in Jets last 7 vs. a team with a losing record.

  • Jets are 6-1-2 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game.
