Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New York Giants
The New York Giants will return home to MetLife Stadium after playing on the road last week as they will welcome in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in what is an NFC clash. The Bucs have dropped 3 straight games and are now pinned at the bottom of the NFC South while there has been turmoil in NY with the Giants winning only 2 games on the season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers's Latest Performance :
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a revolving door at QB all season long as Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick have both seen starts this season but as of recent it looks like the answer may not be with any of these guys as the Bucs have dropped 3 straight games. Ryan Fitzpatrick got the start in their recent game against the Washington Redskins but he was unable to secure a win as he was careless with the ball. Fitzpatrick threw for over 400 yards which was by far the most out of any QB in week 10 but the problem for the 36-year-old was that he didn’t throw a single TD pass and he threw 2 interceptions. Fitzpatrick has been more of the TD guy than Jameis as he has thrown 17 compared to the 6 Jameis has thrown but what has separated the two is the turnover department as Winston has 10 interceptions in 3 starts. WR Chris Godwin had the best game out of any pass catcher as the former Penn State Nittany Lions brought down 7 catches for 103 yards. RB Jacquizz Rodgers had a huge game out of the backfield as well as he contributed 8 catches for 102 yards. TE OJ Howard and WR Mike Evans have been two of the top pass catchers all season long for the Bucs but they were only able to combine for 4 catches for 66 yards. The defense for the Buccaneers has been suspect all season long but holding the Redskins to 16 points may be their best outing yet. Safety Justin Evans had a busy day as he contributed 9 tackles while the combination of Carl Nassib, Gerald McCoy, and Vita Vea had a sack each.
New York Giants's Latest Performance :
The New York Giants have been the center of attention over the last few weeks as they have been unable to win with Eli Manning but they got a much-needed win in their recent game against the San Francisco 49ers as they used a late game TD to prevail to 2 wins on the season. Manning didn’t have a big game by any standards but he threw for 188 yards and 3 TDs which is a huge improvement considering where he has been all season. Manning has thrown for 2500+ yards but he also has 6 interceptions compared to 11 TDs. 2 of Manning’s TD passes were able to hook up with star WR Odell Beckham Jr. who has been quiet this season. Beckham Jr. was able to rack up 73 yards and 2 TDs on 4 catches which gives the former LSU Tiger 858 yards and 4 TDs on the season. The Giants have a sensational RB in rookie Saquon Barkley but he was limited in how much he was able to do against the 49ers as he had 67 yards on 20 carries and 33 yards on 4 catches. Barkley has been one of the best RBs in the league this year as he has accounted for 1116 yards and 7 TDs from the line of scrimmage. The Giants sold away some of their best defenders with Eli Apple and “Snacks” Harrison being shipped out before the trade deadline. LB B.J. Goodson had a big game for the Giants as he was able to pick off Nick Mullens 2 different times which were the first two of the season. Safety Landon Collins continued his good season with a team-high 9 tackles which pushes his total to 71 on the season.

My reason for the pick :
The Buccaneers have lost the last few games sure but they have an explosive offense that is waiting to take out their anger on a bad defense and that’s what we have lined up here. The Giants haven’t been too good on offense as the Bucs last ranked defense doesn’t concern me there but what is eye-opening is the fact that Fitzgerald and his playmaking WRs can have a day. The Giants organization is in shambles and everyone from top to bottom is looking for their next starting QB which might happen through the 2019 draft. The Buccaneers are still going to fight as they are fighting for their coaches jobs. Bucs on the road.
