Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts return to Lucas Oil Stadium for their 2nd consecutive home game as they will welcome in the Tennessee Titans for an AFC South clash, the opening kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM. The Titans are coming off one of the most impressive wins in the NFL while the Colts have put together a nice 3 game win streak.
Tennessee Titans's Latest Performance :
The Tennessee Titans have quietly put together two back-to-back impressive wins as they beat the Dallas Cowboys on the road as well as waxed arguably the best team in the AFC in the New England Patriots. A huge reason for the Titans success against the Patriots was because Marcus Mariotta has finally started to feel healthy and elevate his play similar to his Heisman Trophy season at Oregon. Mariotta was able to throw for 228 yards and 2 TDs which is a big step up from the beginning of the season as the 25-year-old entered the game against the Patriots with a TD to INT ratio of 1:1. Mariotta may have found a new favorite with Delanie Walker on the shelf as the 2nd-year pro Corey Davis had a big game for Tennessee. Davis had a career game for Tennessee as he brought down 7 catches for a total of 125 yards and 1 TD which was only the 2nd TD of his young career. The other former Heisman Trophy winner in Derrick Henry had a solid game for the Titans as well as the big back was able to add in 2 rushing TDs on 11 carries. RB Dion Lewis didn’t have as big of a game against his former team as he was limited to 57 yards on 20 carries and only 2 catches for 11 yards. The defense of Tennessee stepped up big time as they limited one of the best QBs of all-time to 0 TD passes. LB Wesley Woodyard had a big game for the Titans as he was able to compile a team-high 10 tackles while adding in 1.5 sacks. Punter Brad Kern was a big difference for the Titans as well as he had 5 punts for over 241 yards which allowed Mariotta and the offense to operate from a short field.
Indianapolis Colts's Latest Performance :
The Indianapolis Colts have put together a nice 3 game win streak to stay relevant in the AFC South race and their recent win came over a division rival in the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts are led by their powerful offense which is ran by 29-year-old Andrew Luck and he has looked like his vintage self. Luck in their most recent game against the Jaguars threw for over 285 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 interception which puts his season total to 26 TDs, good for 2nd in the NFL. Andrew Luck was able to hook up with Eric Ebron 3 different times for 69 yards and 2 TDs while fellow TE Mo Alie-Cox hauled in the other TD pass. Ebron has had a really good year for the Colts as the 25-year-old TE has a team-high 463 yards and 9 TDs through the air while also adding in a TD run. The Colts have been unable to get much going on the ground but Jordan Wilkins showed a burst of playmaking ability when he took his only carry of the game for 53 yards. The Colts have three different RBs receiving work as Marlon Mack leads the way with 410 yards and 3 TDs while Jordan Wilkins and rookie Nyheim Hines both have over 200 yards. The defense for the Colts has gotten better but a 26 point performance against an incompetent offense like the Jaguars is not what Frank Reich wants to see. LB Anthony Walker was able to lead the way for the Colts with 10 tackles while rookie LB Darius Leonard fellow just behind him with 8 tackles. Indianapolis was unable to record a sack or force a turnover prone QB like Blake Bortles into any mistakes which is a reason they let the Jaguars hang most of the game.

Against The Spread Selection: Tennessee Titans +2
My reason for the pick :
These two teams play contrasting styles as Tennessee wins the game on their defense while Indianapolis lets Andrew Luck sling it and they will worry about the offense later. I am siding with the Titans in this game as they have shown over the last 2 weeks to score at will against fairly good defenses. The Titans defense showed last week that they could stop Tom Brady and there’s no question in my mind that they can stop Andrew Luck and company. This is a divisional game so expect the emotions to be high on both ends but I see Tennessee winning outright on the road.
