Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills will return home to New Era Field where they will welcome in the Jacksonville Jaguars in an AFC clash, the opening kick off is slated for 1:00 PM. The Jaguars have gone from one of the best teams in the AFC to one of the worst in a matter of games while the Bills are tanking and trying to rebuild their roster.
Jacksonville Jaguars's Latest Performance :
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a disaster ever since they beat the New England Patriots at home at the beginning of the season as they come into this matchup losers of 6 straight. The Jaguars went into halftime with a 9-0 lead against the Pittsburgh Steelers but they allowed the Steelers to come back and score the winning TD with 5 seconds left in the game. A reason for the Jaguars struggles this season can be accredited to their poor QB play specifically from Blake Bortles. Bortles was only able to throw for 104 yards on 10 completed passes as the Jaguars have lost trust in their former first-round draft pick. Bortles has cost the Jaguars a ton of games this season as 26-year-old has thrown for 12 TDs compared to 8 interceptions while also fumbling the ball 8 times. The offense has been improved with 2nd year RB Leonard Fournette back in the lineup and that showed against the Steelers as he rushed for 95 yards and a TD on 28 carries while his backup Carlos Hyde picked up 44 yards on 8 carries. Fournette was also the Jaguars top receiver in this matchup as he racked up 46 yards on 2 catches. The Jaguars didn’t have any other WR crack the 20-yard mark which is a problem moving forward. The Jaguars defense looked much better against the Steelers than they have through the last few games. Superstar CB Jalen Ramsey had one of the best games of his young career as he had a team-high 8 tackles while recording 2 interceptions.
Buffalo Bills's Latest Performance :
The Buffalo Bills were able to sneak into the playoffs last season by getting a wild-card berth but this year is a lot different as they have endured a rough season with a revolving door at QB. The Bills are coming off their most impressive win of the season as they went on the road with a newly signed QB and beat the New York Jets 41-10. Matt Barkley was a great college QB but he has not matched his potential in the NFL with only 12 career games. Barkley learned the playbook on the fly for the Bills but that didn’t stop the 28-year-old from throwing for 232 yards and 2 TDs in only his 2nd career start. The Bills were happy that they got their starting RB going in star LeSean McCoy as the former pro bowler was able to rush for 113 yards and 2 TDs on 26 carries. McCoy has not been able to get going this season as we have seen over the course of his career as he has only rushed for 380 yards and 2 TDs through the first 11 weeks. The Bills got rid of some of their best WRs in the offseason and we have seen that play out as the Bills QBs have not been able to find a consistent target. The Bills got a huge game out of Robert Foster in this outing as the former Alabama WR was able to compile 105 yards on 3 catches. The Bills top WR Zay Jones was able to get loose for 93 yards and a TD on 8 catches which gives him 392 yards and 2 TDs on the season. The Bills defense has been one of the lone bright spots for this team and they showed their worth against the Jets. Rookie LB Tremaine Edmunds came away with a team-high 8 tackles while LB Matt Milano and S Micah Hyde both came down with an interception.

Against The Spread Selection: Jacksonville Jaguars -3
My reason for the pick :
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been awful this season and there is no sugarcoating that but the Bills are in a way worse position as they do not have the offense to hang with the stingy Jaguars defense. The Jaguars can’t score on offense and we have seen that during the losing streak but the thing separates the Jags from the Bills is their top 10 defense who should eat up a rookie QB. Josh Allen has been out for 4 straight games but he has committed to playing in this game and I think Ramsey and company welcome him back with a defensive TD. That one defensive TD may be the difference in this game as we won’t see much fireworks on offense. Take the Jags and the FG on the road.
