Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos return home to Mile High Stadium as they will welcome in the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC clash, the opening kickoff is slated for 4:25 PM. The Steelers have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL with 6th consecutive wins while the Broncos are trying to salvage their slow start to the season.
Pittsburgh Steelers's Latest Performance :
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been through it all this season as they endured a rough start to the season, have blown teams out, and now have a good come from behind win to add to their resume. The Steelers were able to use two late TDs against the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend to propel themselves to a 20-16 win. QB Ben Roethlisberger had trouble at the beginning of the game as he threw 3 interceptions but he turned it on late as he finished with 314 yards and 2 TDs while winning the game with a rushing TD. Roethlisberger has double-digit interceptions with 10 but that is easy to overlook especially since he has 3202 yards and 23 TDs on the season. The biggest surprise for the Steelers in this matchup was the fact that they were unable to get RB James Conner going as he was held to 25 yards on 9 carries. Conner looks like the long-term solution for the Steelers as the 23-year-old 1207 yards and 11 TDs from scrimmage this season. The Steelers top WRs had a big outing for Big Ben and company as Antonio Brown led the way with 117 yards and a TD on 5 catches while JuJu Smith-Schuster racked up 104 yards on 8 catches. TE Vance McDonald had a big TD catch for the Steelers late in the 4th quarter which is his 3rd of the season. The Steelers defense forced the Jaguars to try and win the game with Blake Bortles especially late in the game which proved to be too much. LB Vince Williams led the way with 10 tackles and a sack while T.J. Watt and Javon Hargrave combined for 4 sacks.
Denver Broncos 's Latest Performance :
The Denver Broncos are stuck in a tough division with both the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers sitting at the top which means the Broncos need to win 90% of their games for any shot of receiving a chance at a wild-card spot. The Broncos are coming off an impressive home win last week where they used a last-second FG to beat the Los Angeles Chargers. QB Case Keenum has not been the investment the Broncos expected coming into the season and this outing was another example of that as he only threw for 205 yards with no TDs. Keenum has had a turnover problem through the first 11 weeks of the season as he had 10 interceptions compared to 11 TDs. The ground game is the reason that the Broncos have stayed in games this season as they have a rookie two-headed monster leading the charge. Undrafted Free Agent Phillip Lindsay had a solid outing for the Broncos as he rushed for 79 yards and 2 TDs on 11 carries which gives him 670 yards and 5 TDs in his rookie season. The WRs for the Broncos stepped up in a big way on the final drive of the game as Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton made some plays. Sutton was the top WR for Keenum in this matchup as he tacked on 78 yards on 3 catches. The defense for the Broncos was good in this outing as they held the high-scoring Chargers to only 20 points. Safeties Darian Stewart and Justin Simmons led the way for the Broncos with 10 tackles each while Chris Harris Jr. and Von Miller came down with an interception each.

Against The Spread Selection: Pittsburgh Steelers -3
My reason for the pick :
I will be siding with the hotter team in this matchup as the Pittsburgh Steelers have looked as good as anyone else in the AFC over the last few weeks. The Denver defense played good against the Chargers offense but the Steelers offense is no joke as they rank in the top 5 in scoring and I think they have a major mismatch with James Conner and Antonio Brown. The Pittsburgh defense also showed the ability to get after the QB last week against Jacksonville and considering the fact that Keenum isn’t a great QB I think they will throw pressure at him and force him into mistakes. Take Pittsburgh to cover the FG spread on the road.
