Coming into this series the Rockies are 29th in pitching with a whopping 5.13 ERA and 6th in batting with 371 runs scored this season. The team pitching has to improve if the Rockies want to compete in the NL West division.

Game 3: Chad Bettis, coughed up eight earned runs, nine hits, and five walks over just 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision in his last performance. He is 5-1 and has a 2.70 ERA in eight starts away from home.
Los Angeles Dodgers's Latest Performance :
The Dodgers are currently on a 10 game homestand as they will now play their division rival the Rockies in a three-game set, they are coming off a hard-fought series against the Cubs. The Dodgers are now in second place of the NL West division and are only 2 1/2 back of the division leader the D-Backs. They are 21-20 when playing at home this season. Coming into this series the Dodgers are 8th in batting with 362 runs scored this season and 7th in pitching with a 3.56 ERA. The Dodgers bullpen must do a better job as the season progresses because when the starter pitcher pitches well he expects the bullpen to close out the game. They have to play well at home against the Rockies considering how well the Rockies play on the road this season.
Player to watch in this series: Cody Bellinger, he has become one of the Dodgers leaders in the second half of the season, he has been playing really well lately and should be a factor when the Rockies come to visit. Although he started the season slow he starting to heat up for the Dodgers. He is now slashing .244/.331/.491 with 39 RBIs and 15 homers on the season.
- RBIs: Matt Kemp (47)

He issued just one walk and struck out five batters, but four of the five hits he gave up went for extra bases, he will be pitching for the Dodgers in the series opener against the Rockies.
Game 2: Kenta Maeda, he blanked the Cubs over seven innings while allowing three hits and striking out nine. His ERA is now 3.44, and he’s struck out 80 hitters over his 68 innings, he starts on Saturday for the Dodgers.

How Colorado Rockies & Los Angeles Dodgers Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Dodgers are 26-9 in their last 35 overall.
Rockies are 6-2 in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning record.
Against The Spread Selection: Los Angeles Dodgers
My reason for the pick :
The Dodgers should be able to take of business at home as I predict a 2-1 series win for the Dodgers over the Rockies, although the Rockies are a great team on the road but however, they won’t be able to figure out the Dodgers batters considering how well they have been playing lately. The Dodgers will be focused in this series because they want to eliminate any competitors they can early to make it only a two-team race between the D-Backs and Dodgers. The Dodgers have the momentum coming into this series while the Rockies don’t.
