How San Francisco Giants & Los Angeles Dodgers Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Giants are 61-56 ATS while the O/U is 55-57-5. On the other hand, the Dodgers are 52-65 ATS while the O/U is 56-58-3.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
While the Giants continue to have aspirations of increasing their position within the NL West division, the Dodgers are knocking on the door and with some wins over their division foe from the north, they will find themselves in a great position in which to lead the division by the end of the week. The matchups between these two teams have all been exciting this year and I expect this to be equally as interesting, particularly, with the push for the playoffs already beginning. In all, I see pitching as being key in this contest as the Dodgers have really proven that they can certainly lock teams down when needed. While I see this matchup as being a competitive one throughout the duration of the series, I feel as though the Dodgers certainly have the inside track in winning the set outright.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers
My reason for the pick :
I will back the Dodgers to perform well in this series while coming just shy of a sweep. The Dodgers have played well against this Giants squad this year and would like nothing better than to get a win over a division foe at the ‘friendly confines’, but, to also separate themselves from the lower tier teams within the division while gaining more ground on the first place Arizona Diamondbacks. In all, the Dodgers pitching will dominate this matchup making it much more difficult for the Giants to get anything going on offense for much of the series.
