How Green Bay Packers & Oakland Raiders Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

The number 1 offense in the league in Green Bay will take a trip to Oakland in which to do battle against one of the league’s most surprising teams thus far in the Raiders.  This will certainly be a matchup billed towards Aaron Rodgers and the Packer offense vs the Raider defense which have both shined thus far in the preseason.  Sportsbooks seem to have their eye on the Raiders pulling out a win in this contest judging by the line.  Nonetheless, games are for being played.  With that being said, Oakland needs to show and prove in this matchup that the past 2 weeks were not fluke as it relates to their defense, thus making this week 3 showdown one of my most likely to watch matchups.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Green Bay Packers +3

My reason for the pick :

Not quite sure why the Packers would be 3-point underdogs in this matchup due to the way they have been playing lately, however, I will back Green Bay in this matchup even with the plus money.  The Packers have been on another level thus far while the Raiders have a potentially dangerous defense on their side, the offense is simply not being nearly as productive as they need to be to allow this team to turn the corner.  Expect the Green Bay defense to really test the patience of this Oakland offense in this matchup to stellar results.  Of course, the offense will slow down a bit due to the way in which the Raiders have stepped up their play on defense, nonetheless, I expect the Packers to keep things close in this matchup.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under 40.5

My reason for the prediction :

Again, with the Raiders D facing a potent Green Bay passing attack that they will likely cause the Pack to decrease their overall production in this matchup.  Combine this with an anemic Raider offense that cannot find the endzone consistency as of yet, I will back the under in this contest.  The trends also point to an under matchup as well with this being the play in the Raiders last few outings at Alameda.  In all, expect this to be an exciting matchup amongst two teams looking to better establish their identity for the upcoming season along with solidify their position in the league as being the team to beat for 2018.
