An all-important Pac 12 battle versus the 7th ranked Washington Huskies and the 17th ranked Oregon Ducks will take place at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, beginning at 3:30 pm EST on Saturday afternoon. The last time these teams met would be on November 4, 2017 the Huskies took the 38-3 home win while covering as 17.5-point favorites while the total did not surpass 53 points. In fact, the Huskies covered the spread in the last two meetings with Oregon. The over is 4-0 in the last four games in Eugene, Oregon, while the favorite is 14-2-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings. The Huskies are coming off a 31-24 road win over the UCLA Bruins last Saturday as they were able to fend off a late Bruins rally in the second half after taking a 24-7 lead at the half en route to the win. The Ducks also picked up a road win over the California Bears in their last outing by a 42-24 score as they capitalized on five turnovers by the Bears on a night where their defense was nonexistent to pull out the victory. The huskies are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight games in Oregon.
Washington Huskies's Latest Performance :
The Huskies were comfortably ahead at the half by a 24-7 score, yet, would have to fend off the Bruins in the second half after being outscored 17-7 to get the victory last weekend. Jake Browning threw for 265 yards along with a TD and an interception in the game as Aaron Fuller led the receiving corps with 100 yards and a score while the rushing attack for Washington racked up 197 yards total with Myles Gaskins leading the way with 116 yards along with two touchdowns in the win. The Huskies’ 41st ranked rush defense gave up 150 yards on the ground, while its pass defense, which came into the game giving up only 175 yards passing, allowing 272 yards passing to Dorian Thompson Robinson in this game along with two pass TD’s. Through it all, Washington was in control of this game from the start and seeks to get off to yet another fast start against Oregon, who has struggled to defend the pass this season.
Oregon Ducks's Latest Performance :
The Oregon Ducks capitalized on five California turnovers in their win last weekend as they cruised to victory after losing to Stanford the week prior. Their defense, however, not only allowed the Bears to covert seven for 13 third downs in the game, but, gave up 241 yards rushing in the contest with QB Brandon Mcllwain rushing for 123 yards and a score allowing with throwing for 128 yards and a touchdown pass along with two picks. Nonetheless, Justin Herbert was solid under center for Oregon as well in throwing for 225 yards along with two TD’s while the Ducks rushing attack powered in 260 rush yards with Travis Dye (115 yds, TD) and CJ Verdell (106 yds) led the way. Dillon Mitchell led the receiving corps with 105 yards on seven catches along with a touchdown catch from Herbert that gave Oregon a 21-10 lead late in the second period. The defense for the Ducks also scored with La’Mar Winston and Ugo Amadi returned a fumble recovery and an interception for a score to top off the scoring for the Ducks.
How Washington Huskies & Oregon Ducks Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Washington is 2-4 ATS while the OU is 1-5
Oregon is 1-4 ATS while the OU is 3-2
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Well, the Huskies will travel to Eugene to battle the Ducks this weekend and will certainly utilize their passing attack that averages 272 yards per game versus a Ducks pass defense that is ranked 89th in the league in allowing 238 yards in the air to their opponents. Of course, Gaskins will also be essential for the Huskies as he will need to find some holes versus a stout defensive front for the Ducks that allow 112 yards to their opponents per week. The Ducks rank in the top 30 in passing/rushing offense and will seek to take advantage of a Washington team that is 4th in the country in points allowed per game with 13.7 points.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Oregon Ducks +3
My reason for the pick :
I will back the home team in this instance in that while the Huskies have proven that they possess a dominant rushing attack with Gaskins, Oregon is certainly equipped to shutting down this aspect of their offense with their stout rushing defense. In all, Browning will need to show his worth to the team in this week’s matchup versus an Oregon team that can, and will, give up some big plays within the passing attack. Nonetheless, the Ducks will keep things close as they have a powerful rushing attack as well and will look to feast on a shaky Washington defensiive front that can be pushed around a bit.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under 57.5
My reason for the prediction :
The under was the result the last time these two teams met and while the Ducks are averaging 46 points per game, the Huskies are ranked high in the nation in preventing teams from scoring with only 14 points per. Look for this to be a battle at the line of scrimmage as points will certainly be scored, however, the game will remain low scoring and competitive throughout. I will back the under in this contest as Oregon’s defense will show and prove versus a punishing rushing attack for Washington on Saturday.

- Under is 4-0 in Huskies last 4 vs. a team with a winning record.
